Our Day Doing The Farm Thing...

When we went to Bowling Green for Ben's graduation we also went to Smith's Grove to Wallace's farm for the day. We spent the morning at the pond so the kiddos could see the catfish, which by the way are very ugly fish. Then we went to see the horses and go for a ride. The whole day was a lot of fun and we all had a blast. Matt had so much fun with Wallace's grandkids and Alyssa had fun with all the new experiences.

Here is Alyssa looking at the pond where the catfish were jumping for the food. She was banging on Steven's head in this picture.
Here is Matt with Wallace on the four wheeler. The catfish start jumping when they hear the four wheeler cause they know that food is coming so they rode it right out into the pond to try to catch a "big one".
They did it, they caught a "big one". The whole pond is full of these and Nana promised Matt a day of fishing and he's gonna make her follow thru.
We got to see it.
We were trying to get Matt to touch it, but he didn't want to. He finally did for about 1 second.

Then we went to ride horses. Here is Wallace trying to teach Matt how to guide the horse. Maybe with a little practice and guidance he may get it.. He's still pretty timid with them.
He did enjoy it.
After a long day on the farm we headed back to the city. Thanks Wallace for showing us around, we had fun.
