I took this picture of Alyssa because I have almost the same picture of Matthew when he was the same age.
Here she was trying to get the balls that I rolled.
Matt took her up in the jungle gym. She had never been in one before and she loved every minute of it.
Then, down the slide they come. She loves slides and Matt is such a great big brother to her.
When I turned on the water Alyssa took off running.
Yes, she's running around the side of the porch to get as far away from the water as she can.
Then, I had brother take her up to it and show her that it is ok. After that, she didn't want to be away from it.
This particular sprinkler you could put balls in and the water would shoot them out. It didn't work very well, but that didn't keep her from loving it.
Brother is always all about showing her how to work things.
Alyssa loves to watch and learn from her brother. She imitates a lot that he does whether it's good or bad. Sometimes it's a good thing, but most of the time he teaches her stuff that she doesn't need to know. So, in this picture he is teaching her how to RUN through the sprinkler.
Here she goes. Running through the sprinkler.. She stops, and turns back.. "Oh no, she thinks, the water is gonna get me".
Here she is watching him put his head in the sprinkler. At first, I didn't think she was gonna imitate this one.
But then, she goes up to it. But she falls.
Then, she decides that she's brave enough to put her head in the water. I guess she assumes anything good enough for brother is good enough for her.
She loves the water.. Until it gets in her eyes.
Here she was trying to imitate brother putting her butt over the water. It didn't work to well.
She fell.
All in all, they loved the sprinkler. We will definately be doing this a lot this summer.
